Instructions for Collection and Transport
Blood must be collected into pre-chilled tubes containing heparin anticoagulant ( green, lithium heparin with inert gel). Immediately immersed and maintained in an ice water bath. Send to the lab in ice-water bath as soon as possible.

CSR Storage Requirements
Once received in lab, centrifuge in a pre-cooled centrifuge (4◦C) if available. Specimen must be maintained in an ice water bath and analyzed within four (4) hours of collection.
