Instructions for Collection and Transport

 

SOUTHSHORE REGION:

Centrifuge specimen and deliver to laboratory. Stability: Room temperature 20 – 25°C for 48 hours, Refrigerated 2 – 8 °C up to 72 hours, Frozen at ≤ -20°C for 30 days.

LAFAYETTE REGION: 

Centrifuge specimen. If not collected in gel tube, aliquot plasma into plastic tube. Deliver to laboratory. Plasma is stable at room temperature for 48 hours, refrigerated up to 72 hours and frozen at ≤ -20°C for 30 days.
