North Louisiana locations only:
No swabs are accepted for testing. Only Liquid, semi-solid, and formed stool is acceptable. Stool specimens should be at least 1 gram.
Instructions for Collection and Transport
South Louisiana collections:
This test is performed only on stools. A swab may be used but is not the preferred collection.
Internal specimens should be transported to laboratory immediately.
Remote Locations: Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.
