Instructions for Collection and Transport
South Louisiana collections:
Specimens must be submitted in VTM or UTM transport media. Both are stable for 4 hours at room temperature (15 - 25°C). Or, refrigerated for up to 3 days (2 - 8°C). Or, Frozen (< -15°C or <-70°C) for up to 30 days.
North Louisiana collections:
Internal: Transport to lab on ice.
Remote: Transport to lab refrigerated using ice packs.
