Instructions for Collection and Transport
CENTRIFUGE AND SEPARATE PLASMA WITHIN 2 HOURS OF COLLECTION. Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot plasma into plastic vial. Freeze specimen. Transport frozen.

CSR Storage Requirements
Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot plasma into plastic vial. Transport to laboratory. Freeze specimen if holding overnight.
Patient Preparation
The patient must discontinue epinephrine and epinephrine-like drugs at least 1 week prior to specimen collection. The patient must fast 4 hours prior to specimen collection. During this time, patient is only allowed to drink water and must refrain from smoking tobacco during the 4 hour fasting period.
