Instructions for Collection and Transport

Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot plasma into plastic vial ASAP. Plasma that has been allowed to sit on cells may have falsely elevated levels of plasma hemoglobin. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.

Home Health Agencies:transport to lab within 2 hours of collection.
