Instructions for Collection and Transport
For specimens other than stool, use test code OCCGA LAB812. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.

Patient Preparation
Note dietary instructions: Patient should follow a well-balanced diet for 3 days prior to and during collection, avoiding dietary or supplemental Vitamin C in excess of 250mg, red meat (beef, lamb, liver), raw broccoli, cauliflower, horseradish, parsnips, radishes, turnips or melons. Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen for 7 days prior to and during collection. This test should not be collected during or for 3 days after menstruation.
