Instructions for Collection and Transport

Place specimen in a cup of ice immediately after collection.

Centrifuge specimen immediately (whole blood specimen on ice is stable up to 60 minutes).  For transport aliquot plasma into plastic vial, freeze.  Transport frozen on dry ice.

Lafayette sites: Transport on ice or separate from cells and refrigerate. 

OALH: Centrifuge specimen immediately (whole blood specimen on ice is stable up to 60 minutes).  For transport aliquot plasma into plastic vial, freeze.
