Acceptable: Red top
Submission Container/Tube: Plastic vial
Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge and aliquot serum into a plastic vial.
Specimen Minimum Volume
For only total IgE: 0.3 mL
For total IgE and more than 1 allergen: 0.05 mL x number of allergen-specific tests + 0.25 mL dead space
