Specimen Stability

Vaginal swabs in Roche Transport collection devices are stable for 90 days at room temperature. Urines must be transferred to Roche Urine collection device within 24 hours of collection. Urine samples in urine collection device are stable for 90 days at room temperature.

Instructions for Collection and Transport

Collect female specimens by using the large swab for cleaning and then the small swab for collecting specimen. Avoid excessively bloody specimens.

Collect first catch urine.Transport refrigerated on freeze packs or at room temperature. Refrigerate if holding overnight. Samples collected in urine collection devices can be held at room temperature.
