Instructions for Collection and Transport
Microbiology lab prefers to make their own slides. If the slide is prepared at collection site, place in a sterile petri dish without a coverslip.
Internal specimens should be transported to laboratory within one hour of collection.
Remote Locations: Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight. Transport clippings or slide at room temperature. Hold at room temperature if holding overnight.
