Instructions for Collection and Transport
The stool should be formed/semi-solid. Watery, diarrheal specimens are not acceptable for testing.
Collect 0.5 mL or 0.5 grams of semi-solid stool or 20 mm diameter stool and send frozen in a
screw capped polypropylene container. Please contact Warde Lab for polypropylene screw capped containers for shipping frozen stool. Polystyrene containers are unacceptable for frozen
shipping.
Freeze specimen in a plastic container. Transport frozen on dry ice.
Specimens that have been concentrated or collected in 10% formalin, SAF or PVA fixatives are not acceptable.
