Instructions for Collection and Transport
Collect Nasal swab by rotating the swab several times against the nasal wall then slowly remove from the nostril.
Internal specimens should be transported to laboratory within two hour of collection.
OC Remote Locations: Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.
Shreveport Locations:
Internal specimens: Transport to the laboratory on ice
Remote specimens: Transport refrigerated on ice packs
