Instructions for Collection and Transport
Place sample in clinical lab specimen transport container at refrigerated temperature. Specimens shared between Flow Cytometry and AP should be placed in Anatomic Path Transport container. Specimens collected Friday must be sent on Friday by regular courier or STAT courier and will be processed on Saturday. Samples must arrive Friday to be processed on Saturday. Specimens collected Saturday will be processed on Monday unless approval is obtained by hematopathologist on call for Saturday processing. Do not collect samples on Friday before a Saturday holiday or Saturday before a Monday holiday.
