Instructions for Collection and Transport
Please mark tubes as acute or convalescent . Parallel testing is preferred and convalescent samples must be received within 30 days from receipt of the acute sample. Centrifuge specimen. Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Aliquot serum into plastic vial. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.
NOTE: Reflexive testing: Test BLSAB, Blastomyces Antibody by Immunodiffusion will be reflexed if Blastomyces antibody by EIA are equivocal or positive.
