Epic Description:CMV T CELL IMMUNITY PANEL

Collection Limitations

Specimens may be collected at Main Campus lab, Northshore lab, Baton Rouge Main lab and satellite labs with contracted stops only. DO NOT collect at OMC-Hancock.

Collect between 5am and 1pm Monday through Friday. Do not collect on Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, or the day before a Holiday.

Dark Green, Sodium Heparin – No Gel

For Non-Pediatric Patients: Collect 10 mL whole blood in a sodium heparin tube. Tube must be at least ¾ full to maintain proper ratio of blood to anticoagulant.

 

For Pediatric Patients: Minimum volume is 3 mL. Tube must be at least ¾ full to maintain proper ratio of blood to anticoagulant. Tubes that can be accepted for pediatric patients: Three 1mL tubes completely full (any less will be rejected) Two 2 mL tubes containing a minimum of 1.5 mL of blood in both tubes One 4 mL tube containing a minimum of 3 mL of blood .

Specimens may be collected at Main Campus lab, Northshore lab, Baton Rouge Main lab and satellite labs with contracted stops only. Call for Courier pick-up: 1-800-719.0001, Radiant Global.

Do not centrifuge. Store in a Viracor LIVE CELL specimen bioharard bag and transport at room temperature only. Home Health Agencies: Deliver specimen to CSR ASAP.
