Instructions for Collection and Transport
Centrifuge specimen within 2 hours of collecton. For non-gel tubes, aliquot plasma or serum into plastic vial. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. If holding overnight, aliquot plasma or serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate. Home Health agencies: Transport to laborotory within 2 hours of collection for centrifugation since whole blood specimens are subject to degradation.
