Instructions for Collection and Transport
Centrifuge specimen. Gel tops need not be aliquotted. If collected in a red top, aliquot serum into plastic vial. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.

Transport specimen to Chemistry Lab.
Specimens are stable at room temperature (tested 21-30˚C) for 3 days,
at 2-8˚C for 7 days. Separated Serum/plasma may be stored frozen
(-20˚C or colder).
