Instructions for Collection and Transport
Collect stool specimen in clean, dry container with a tight lid. Specimen should not be contaminated with barium, urine, or toilet paper.
Remote laboratory: transfer stool from container to Cary-Blair media.
Internal specimens should be transported to Laboratory within one hour of collection.
Remote Locations: Transport E-swab vial or sterile container refrigerated on freeze packs.
