This test is only valid for Peritoneal, Pleural, or JP drainage sources only.
Do not send fluid in bag or syringe for this test. Indicate fluid type/source. Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot supernatant into plastic vial. Transport refrigerated on freeze packs. Refrigerate if holding overnight.
Home Health Agencies: Transport to laboratory within 2 hours of collection.
