Instructions for Collection and Transport
Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot serum into amber plastic vial. Protect from light by wrapping in foil or paper if amber tube is not available. FREEZE specimen. Transport frozen on dry ice.

CSR Storage Requirements
Centrifuge specimen. Aliquot serum into brown/amber plastic vial. Freeze specimen.
Patient Preparation
Patient should fast overnight 12-14 hours. Patient should not consume alcohol or ingest vitamin supplements for 24 hours before the specimen is drawn. If collecting on infants, collect prior to next feeding.
