Collection Limitations
Collect mid-morning after patient has been sitting, standing, or walking for at least 2 hours, and seated for 5-15 minutes.

Specimen Stability
1 month frozen
Instructions for Collection and Transport
Collect one Gold gel and two lavender tubes. Do not use refrigerated tubes. Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection.
Serum – Transfer 1.0 ml serum to aliquot tube. Label as Serum.
Plasma – Transfer 2.0 mL EDTA plasma to aliquot tube. Label as Plasma. FREEZE both samples immediately and transport frozen on dry ice.

3-5 days, excluding weekends and holidays.
CSR Storage Requirements
Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection. Serum – Transfer 1.0 ml serum to aliquot tube. Label tube as Serum. Plasma – Transfer 2.0 mL EDTA plasma to aliquot tube. Label tube as Plasma. FREEZE both samples immediately.
